If you or one of your family want to get involved in the fast and exciting world of
karting here’s how:

Kart racing has classes to suit everyone from age 8 upwards. Study our Classes
page for the class that might best suit you, taking age, driver weight, mechanical
ability and experience into account. Don’t rush out and buy the first kart you see!

Visit WSKC on a race weekend (the third Sunday of the month) to
see the classes and makes of karts that are racing. Talk to drivers, teams and
officials to kelp make your choice. Choose a well supported class.

Take an introductory course at an ARKS School or arrange a test with one of the
race teams listed below. This will offer you the chance to try a race kart without too
much expenditure. Buy Karting Magazine, visit www.scottishkarting.co.uk and
www.karting.co.uk for new and used karts. Check out the WSKC notice board in the
club house for adverts.

If you would like to take advantage of the Motor Sports Association’s Let’s GO Karting
scheme where 8 - 16 year olds can get behind the wheel of a kart for just £5 then
visit www.letsgokarting.net
